One of the ways referees continue to improve is by attending regular clinics. Annual clinics are also necessary in order to re-certify as a registered USSF referee. These clinics are offered by the Illinois Soccer Referee Committee (ISRC).
The introductory referee clinic is currently a 2-day classroom session. Meanwhile, the re-certification clinic is a 1-day classroom session. In order to find the schedule and register for a clinic in Illinois, please go to the ‘Clinics’ heading at www.illinoissoccerrefereecommittee.org. This schedule is updated frequently in the fall and winter months.
There is a clinic and registration fee totaling about $80.00.
If you live in Elk Grove Village and would like to be notified when the ISRC posts the Elk Grove Village Clinic please send an email to the Referee-in-Chief. The clinic is open to all referees not only those who live in Elk Grove Village so it fills up fast. The Clinic held in Elk Grove is usually posted in September on the ISRC website.
The Elk Grove Soccer Club hosts a clinic ONCE per year, which is usually the first weekend of every JANUARY. It is held Saturday and Sunday from about 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. If you are recertifying, attendance only on Sunday is required.
